A complete guide to foaming soap dispensers

Did you know that traditional soaps typically biodegrade at a slower rate than foaming soaps?

This is due, in part, to the use of forced air, which is the natural cause of lathering. As a consequence of this, less soap is lost down drains, which is beneficial to the health of the environment and your wallet.

Is foaming soap more eco friendly?

Numerous studies have been conducted over the years, and they all generally conclude the same thing. Yes, foaming soap is better for the environment for the reasons listed below. To begin with, because it is simply watered down soap mixed with air, you use less soap in the first place. Second, studies have shown that foaming soap produces less waste than liquid soap. This is because a blob of liquid soap may fall into the sink, whereas foaming soap remains on the hands, preventing waste.

How do Foaming Dispensers actually work?

Foaming hand soap is one type of liquid soap. It is created by diluting liquid soap and then combining it with air to create a foamy lather as it is pumped from the dispenser.

The pump is divided into two chambers. When you press the pump, one chamber contains soap and the other chamber pushes air into the dispensing device.

To refill our dispensers, all you need is pre-mixed foaming soap or follow our instructions to make your own.

How to make your own Foaming Soap

Making your own foaming soap is actually quite simple. First, you'll need your preferred liquid soap, and then you'll need a high-quality foaming dispenser, such as one of our very own Kuishi Foaming Soap Dispensers.

  1. Select your soap You can’t just add normal soap into a foaming dispenser as it is generally too thick. So you will have to water it down a little.
  2. Measure out the soap & water in equal parts. Typically you will need to add 1 part soap to 4 parts water to get a good mix suitable for a foaming dispenser. Depending on the soap, you may be ok with 1 part soap to 3 parts water, but it’s best to experiment.
  3. Do not fill to the very top of the container. Try not to fill the foaming dispenser to the top.
  4. Put the lid on, and mix Give the soap and water a little shake and mix it up.

tip: Because every soap is slightly different, you may need to experiment with the soap-to-water ratio. If your soap isn't foaming, try diluting it slightly.

Why our Kuishi Foaming Dispensers are the best

We upgraded our foaming pumps to have a stronger spring, resulting in a smoother pump action and perfect foam every time. Our pumps are also made of 304-grade stainless steel, which prevents rust in high-moisture environments. As standard, we guarantee the pump action for 12 months.
