The Sandy Duck an Instagramer’s Best Friend

We had the hard job of finding the perfect location to shoot our amazing new range of mud cloth pillows and rugs. Not wanting to stray too far from our home town of Falmouth, we decided to seek out some of Falmouth’s boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts. After a month of searching, we found the perfect place and booked our shoot at the Sandy Duck, a modern boutique bed and breakfast nestled in the amazing harbour town of Falmouth.

The Sandy Duck is owned by Faye who was lovely and made us feel really welcome. It’s no doubt one of the many reasons she recently won a Gold Award for B&B and Guesthouse of the year.  We loved the Sandy Duck’s main guest lounge which has some great furnishing, and my personal favourite a peacock rattan chair which we used in our photos to showcase our mud cloth pillows.

The hardest thing to decide was which of the eight amazing rooms to use for our bedroom shoot. Each room was large,  each individually styled with meticulous attention to details and reminded me of so many of our customer’s homes. Room eight was my favourite room on the top floor, which has a beautiful vaulted ceiling, sumptuous super king bed and a sun-filled dormer window with far-reaching sea views.  Just to top it all off there is an en-suite with large monsoon shower and a raised freestanding bath so you can lie back and enjoy the views.

It’s such a beautiful space, with such a calm and relaxed feel to it. If you are visiting Cornwall, England make sure you take time to relax at the Sandy Duck.
